Digital Trade Hub of Azerbaijan was presented at the international conference in Abu Dhabi
The manager of the Digital Trade Hub of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Nijat Asadli represented Azerbaijan at the “Arab Digital Economy Conference 2018” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The conference was organized for the first time with the support of the UAE, the League of Arab States and the leaders of international organizations to present a general picture of the digital economy. UAE government officials, as well as the representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Economy, and Planning, Central Bank managers, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, businessmen and investors attended the conference and the detailed information on the Digital Trade Hub was provided. It was mentioned that the experience of individual countries was taken into consideration in the development of a long-term strategy for the improvement of digital economy.
During the business trip, the manager of the Digital Trade Hub, Nijat Asadli met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the United Arab Emirates, Dashgin Shikarov. At the meeting, they discussed Azerbaijan being the first country providing the non-residents with the mobile signature and the second country providing foreigners with the e-residency after Estonia. The importance of providing comprehensive and detailed information to the potential non-residents who could receive mobile and electronic residency in Azerbaijan and the need for mutual cooperation were emphasized.
